16 Sep 2008: From the period of 01August-25August, 2008, vLT Chris Striker, 50th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, 405th Air Expeditionary Wing, Soto Cano AB, Honduras, flew a total of 13 sorties in support of Operation coronet oak. VLT Striker delivered a total of 93,000 pounds of cargo and 75 members of Air Force and Army medical teams to remote villages and locations throughout Central and south America. VLT Striker further demonstrated his dedication to the VUSAF mission by volunteering to fly missions other pilots could not finish in time. VLT Striker is a true asset to the VUSAF and for this I hereby recommend he be awarded the VUSAF achievement medal.

20 Dec 2008: vCAPT Chris Striker, Commander, 50th Airlift Squadron, 463rd Airlift Group, Little Rock AFB, AR, distinguished himself in aerial flight during the period of 08Sep-20Sep while participating in Operation Ike. Capt Striker flew a total of 21 sorties, moving over 465 people and delivering a total of 210,000 pounds of cargo in relief operations. Capt Striker accumulated over 48 hours of flight time during this two week period. His dedication is a inspiration to his subordinates and defines leadership by example/ For his actions, he is awarded the Commendation medal.

29 Dec 2008: Awarded the Virtual Air Force Outstanding Unit Award by Glenn Blanco

29 Dec 2008: From the period of 1July-1December, 2008, the 463rd Airlift Group, Little Rock AFB, AR, has become the stellar unit inside AMC. This unit, made up of mostly new members, has excelled in every instance its been called upon. Its lead AMC for 5 consecutive months in total flight hours, has participated in several humanitarian operations, had the best grade during AMC's Operation Readiness Inspection. The unit's espirit de corps and can do attitude is a testament to the unit's leadership and member's dedication to AMC and the VUSAF mission. For their performance,they are hereby awarded the Air Force Outstanding Unit Citation.

22 Sep 2009: The members of the 50th AS (along with their wing commander Chris Striker and wing operations officer Bryan Jones) flew their RFA mission under the harshest conditions. Flying very close to enemy lines, they were able to finish every missions assigned to them in an expeditious fashion. Flying into the area where opposing forces were flying, they managed to airdrop over 1000 paratroopers and over 100000 lbs into hot zones. Each pilot that participated in this operation put in at least 10 hours, exceeding those pilots in other wings. Most of those hours were under extreme stress of flying low-level to get troops and cargo where it was desperately needed.
